The Angela’s House 2006 Golf Outing was very successful. We had a perfect day for golf with a nice breeze with a sun shinning perfect day for golf and fun. The Hamlet at Willow Creek Golf and Country Club did a great job all day making our guest feel at home. The course was in great condition and everyone had a great day of Golf.
Our appreciation and thanks for our Sponsors: Penske, Active Web Group ( formerly Aprosite), Commerce Bank, Noble Elevator and Charles Schwab.
After a great afternoon of golf everyone relaxed with a beautiful cocktail party. The outside deck overlooking the lake and golf coarse. As we moved into the dinning room the guest were shown a video that clearly showed what a family went through as they lived with a medically fragile child. The parents talked about how Angela’s House was able to help coordinate home care service for them. The family also talked about the no win decision they were faced with when they realized they needed placement for their son at Angela’s House. Bob Policastro spoke about the bravery of this family as they discussed openly about their experience. Our appreciation and thanks to them for their bravery. The DVD made it very clear why we all came together for this special event. The dinner topped off the day with great food and a fun raffle. We had wonderful prizes which added to the excitement of the raffle.
The outing would not be possible without the planning committee and the year long efforts by Tony Morrone, Doug DeMarco, Jerry Focone, Deniz Gurcan, Tom Whalen, Joe McGovern, Sean Tracey and Chris Kutner.
The golf prizes included ,first place for low net Gary Cioni. The closest to the pin winner was John Kellman who was also 9ft 6 inches from a hole in one car contest.
