This event has a very special meaning to Angela’s House. Several children and their families have been anxiously waiting for the day that Angela’s House III would open, the day where the long hours of travel to visit their children out of state would be over. For the past 3 years the Serva family has been traveling 2 hours to Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Westchester County where their daughter, Caroline, has been cared for. Karen Serva describes the doors of Angela’s House III opening as “the best day of our lives”. Through community effort and events like these, we are able to continue to provide welcomed emotional relief during tough times for families across Long Island.
