Our June 2, 2008 golf outing at St. George’s Golf & Country Club was very successful. We had perfect weather for a great day of golf. It was sunny with a nice comfortable breeze.
As the golfers checked in, each received several gifts including a Nike-style golf shirt with the Angela’s House logo on it. Our guests then helped themselves to a breakfast and some practice on the putting green and driving range. The clubhouse overlooked the beautiful golf course making everyone ready to go. We had a shotgun start at 12:30 pm with close to 120 golfers. The golfers were later treated to a BBQ lunch at the halfway house.
Riverhead Jeep Eagle sponsored several contests on the course including a Hole-in-One for a car. Each tee area was covered with the many tee sponsors.
The golfers began returning to the clubhouse about 5 pm. Once they freshened up, they were treated to a cocktail hour. Many of the guests enjoyed sitting on the deck over looking the golf course. It was a very relaxing time of the day.
After that, people came into the dinning room to enjoy a delicious dinner. The award presentations and raffles started shortly after that. There were many incredible raffle gifts such as airline ticket vouchers, luggage, tools, electronics, food and liquor baskets, golf foursomes, spa gift certificates, restaurant gift certificates and sporting event tickets. There were also special high-end electronic items such as a laptop and GPS system.
