    The ATDC / Angela’s House Golf will be canceled on June 4th

    It looks like Barry’s Tropical Storm remnants are racing up the East Coast . With a 80 to 90 percent chance of heavy rain. The golf outing for June 4th has been canceled and now moved to Monday August 13. We will have the same Schedule:

    Kids helping kids

    Eryn is a very ambitious girl. When she heard a family in her community was caring for a young girl that needs special medical attention she wanted to reach out and help. Eryn setup a table during a community day in Hauppauge to fund raise for Tyler.

    Grace

    GraceGrace is a 3-year old girl born premature but in good health. Due to an accident when she was two weeks old, she suffered a severe hypoxic event when her lungs collapsed. The lack of oxygen caused severe trauma to her brain. She has Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, Shunts, Periventricular Leukomalacia, Cortical Blindness, Severe Gastroesophageal Reflux, G-Tube, and Seizures. She is unable to speak, crawl, or even lift her head.

    Grace has had many hospitalizations over the past 2 years including 3 brain surgeries, 2 abdominal surgeries and many ER visits. Read More

    Girl Scout Laura Sherland helps Angela’s House

    Laura Sherland completed her Girl Scout Gold award by making three bags full of hand made bibs that she designed. She did a great job, the colors and designs are beautiful. These will be great for the children

    ATDC / Angela’s House Spring Gala was a great success

    The night was filled with a magical spirit of the medically fragile children we work with. The Watermill setup our room for a beautiful enchanting evening. Guests walked into the ballroom and they saw a long row of tables with wonderful gifts and prizes that would be given away during the evening. During the cocktail hour the DJ played beautiful music as the guest were able to view many photos of the children and families we assist. Bob Policastro talked about the 15 year anniversary of ATDC / Angela’s. The first three children being Angela Policastro, Steven Przystawski and Elizabeth Carlino. A beautiful DVD was played to show the life of a families in Angela’s House and a family caring for their daughter at home. The Gala was wonderful to the end as the guests danced and enjoying the company of each other.

    Dinner Fundraiser

    The Angela’s House Spring Gala held on March 22 2007 was a huge success. The event was held at the Watermill in Smithtown. The eloquent ballroom was a great backdrop to a spirited evening. This gave our guests a comfortable and enchanting feeling that lasted all night. This evening was extra special because it marked the 15th Anniversary of Angela’s House.     Hauppauge Middle School Helps Adriana

    The Hauppauge Middle School did and outreach for one of ATDC’s children
    Adriana. 100 percent of the fund collected will go to help Adriana. A student from the school Leroy heard about this child from a local newspaper article. He wanted to help this little girl and her family. He was able to get a group from the school to support this effort.

    1 800 GOT JUNK — and — NuTECH Helps ATDC and Angela’s House

    1-800-GOT-JUNK normally helps people by removing junk for people. In our case it was not junk we needed help with. They helped ATDC and Angela’s House by picking up some of the valuable used and out growth medical and therapeutic equipment and transporting it to
    NuTECH Healthcare Management, NuTECH is a medical supply company that offered to clean and fix the equipment for us. The goal is to delivered the equipment to families we work with in the community that need the equipment to help them care for their medically fragile children at home. We have seen an increase of families that have been denied by insurance to purchase this type of equipment. We are very grateful for this combined effort by these two generous companies
