The Gold Project is the highest honor for a girl scout. Katherine Berner from Troop 163 Smithtown worked many hours to make a devotional garden at Angela’s House II. She put her heart and sole into this project as it show behind her in the photo below. Katherine also made bird house that she put up around the property. Special thanks to BB& GG Nursery, Olsens Nursey and Hitherbrook farms for donating the beautiful plants.

Boy Scout works on his Eagle Scout Project
Lenny Carlino started his eagle scout project at Angela’s House II in Smithtown. This project means alot to Lenny and his family because he is creating a memorial garden for children that have passed. The memorial means alot to Lenny because his sister Elizabeth is one of the children honored by this garden. Elizabeth was one of the first children Bob Policastro learned about 18 years ago in the hospital when his daughter was there after her birth. This is how things got started with ATDC and Angela’s House. We learned how there were little supports to take our children home and no facilities in New York that could help care for our kids outside the hospital.

William J Pace Memorial Golf Outing
The William J. Pace Memorial Golf Outing was held on September 17, 2007 at Nissequogue Golf Club in St James. The golfers started the day with a full breakfast in the Dinning room. Jimmy Pace addressed the group of golfers before the 11am shotgun start. We had a very comfortable fall day and the golf course was in great condition for a great day of golf. The BBQ started at 1145am with a great selection for a great lunch. Our Nissequogue host Gerrard Conway went out of his way to make a great day for our guests. After the golf was over the guest went to the outside bar for a seafood , cheese and fruit bar. The dinner was next and it was a big treat. Paces Steak House did a BBQ of their famous steaks and Nissequogue did lobsters for an amazing dinner. The evening ended with the excitement of the raffles and the golf awards.
