    Standout student helps Angela’s House

    Justin Whalley of Smithtown, a junior at St. Anthony’s High School is seen presenting a check to Bob Policastro, the executive director of Angela’s house.Justin has helped Angela’s House for many years, even during a brief time away from his Long Island home.His initial contributions include doing yard work, planting flowers and helping with mass mailings.During the past three years, since his return to Long Island he has continued his fund raising efforts.To date Justin has raised $ 7,000.00 for Angela’s House. His most recent fundraiser , a spring flower sale, was a huge success. Justin prepared flyers, did outreach , ordered and delivered the plants.In addition, he previously raised money by organizing a clothing drive and a book collection. Bob Policastro stated that “Justin is a rare young man who is willing to give of his time and act independently to help others”.He understands his donation will help people in the community to care for children with special health care needs, even when insurance coverage is not an option.He knows how to make a difference that will contribute to essential care of the children at Angela’s House.
